A LOST WEEK – OR SO

Those of you who turn to my website to find out what is the latest must be wondering what is happening with my otherwise regular (more or less reports.) It is not because these past days contain nothing of interest. I don’t know. Maybe they do and maybe they don’t. To me they have blended into one indistinguishable primal soup. I sleep. December 9, 2006 — Barry’s out of the hospital and engrafting

Dear All,

Great news today. Barry’s blood is 80% donor and 20% his – excellent (chimerism) results.

He came home from the hospital yesterday after a harrowing 12 days. His shingles (zoster) became disseminated in his blood, a life-threatening condition, and there was some thought it might have gone to his brain. Read the rest of this entry »
